Welcome to interculturaltheology.com! This, as is appropriate for something out of Oceania, is a flotsam and jetsam site. Anything that washes up concerning intercultural theology will be found here (if it has not, let me know). It is a place for gathering ideas, resources, lines of argument, and bibliographies.
The content is organised around “hubs” of investigation. Each hub includes some theoretical reflection followed by a range of links to diverse thematics, and most especially to bibliographies. The bibliographies concentrate on native voices–not on western summaries of positions, but on local authors writing on local questions. Where possible, I have included links to the full texts.
The central hubs are:
- Intercultural Theology
- World Christianity
- Secularisation Theories
- Jesus in World Perspective
- Indigenous Theologies
Visit these because they organise all the material related to these ideas/methodologies. There are links to Open Access materials through the site, including in the bibliographies. The site also draws attention to events, and a variety of other resources, so check back on a relatively regular basis. Its main intent is to forward voices, questions and methodologies that explore the contest of intercultural theologies.
